(You will need a proper blender for this smoothie. So, if you don't have one strong enough to pulverize frozen vegetables into a smooth consistency, invest in one. It will be well worth the $$$)
-1 lemon
-1 1/2 cups frozen kale
-2 cups packed spinach
-Optional- celery, broccoli, green apple, or any other healthful leafy green
-2 cups cold water
- Cut the ends off your lemon, then carve the skin off the middle piece. Don't throw any of this away just yet.
- Add kale, spinach, and other ingredients into your blender, then put the skinned chunk of lemon on top.
- Pour in water.
- Blend to desired consistency. Shouldn't be so leafy that you have to chew it, but shouldn't be too watery either. (Unless you like it that way of course.)
- Squeeze the juice from the ends of the lemon and skin into blender. Give it a buzz.
- Engulf. Salud!
