All-Natural: Steroids & the Facts

I've never been a big guy. Standing at just under 6', and hard a gainer as any ectomorph. Maybe, I lost the genetic lottery. I'm fine with that. We should embrace our shortcomings, because at the end of the day our biggest competitors are our own limitations. Whatever choice you make, you're the one who has live with the consequences.

When you're all alone with your conscience, do you listen or try to block it out? Lets talk about steroids, and separate fact from opinion.

OPINION
Steroids are bad for you.

FACT
A great number of steroid users have died before their time, and/or suffered heart problems, organ failure, tumors on the liver and kidneys, testicular atrophy, development of female breast tissue in men, clitoral enlargement in women,  prostate enlargement, dependence, long term hormone imbalance, depression, and various psychological problems. The list goes on. Can steroids alone be blamed for every occurrence? Certainly not. Human nature undoubtedly plays a large role in the majority of cases that can be linked to the ABUSE of performance enhancing drugs. Always wanting more, never being satisfied, the desire to go off the deep end, negligence, and thinking nothing bad could ever happen to you. Here is the bottom line. Every body is a physiological snowflake. You never know how a substance is going to effect you before you take it. In most cases, as long as you've done your research, absolutely know what your doing, and follow a proven time tested protocol, you may be fine… For the moment. The future might prove otherwise. Therein lies the risk, but hey, you could die tomorrow in a car accident. If it doesn't happen though, be prepared to live with your decision.

OPINION
Steroids make you bigger and stronger.

FACT
Diligent training, desire, discipline, consistency, knowledge, will-power, and a fiery determination make you bigger and stronger. Steroids help your muscles recover faster so you can train longer and more often. More testosterone means an increased metabolic rate, increased muscle protein synthesis from the food you eat, and reductions in muscle glycogen breakdown. Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids are not naturally occurring testosterone. They are a synthetic analog of testosterone created in the lab. Suffice to say, if they didn't have a dramatic effect, nobody would take them.

OPINION
 Everybody's on steroids.

FACT
My grandmother isn't. (She's dead, God rest her soul) No, but seriously, a lot of people in the public eye are. Actors who need to look ripped for a role, professional athletes, bodybuilders, fitness models, as well as a good number of fitness enthusiasts and gym rats. That's not "everybody", or even close to it. Although, it can feel like it at times from all the images we're constantly bombarded with. The majority of those who are, are not going to be forthcoming in disclosing this bit of information. Wisely so, as per the legal status could be a detriment to their career and reputation.

Nothing but the Truth

There was a time in the "Golden Era" of bodybuilding when steroids were legal, and lifters were a slight more open about it. It's shitty that some have to lie and give people a false impression, but so is the way of the world. No one said it was fair, and nobody rides for free. This is one of the reasons I created Kaze Fitness. There is no lying here, no fake natty claims, no performance enhancing drugs. Just training, eating real foods, natural progress, and a healthy lifestyle.

Hard Feelings Aside

This may piss some people off. Perhaps they'll have no use for my advice, or trash talk the methods I provide. More power to them. Let them reap the benefits of their own decisions, and I truly hope it's worth it. Every time we pick up the iron we share the same fire. So, even if I'm a small fish in a big pond, lets swim upstream and fight the current.

  2. I agree with the opinion that steroids are harmful to health. Besides, I never liked big guys, as you put it!)) About the harm of additives, many people know, but still use them. I can not understand, why they are doing this? If many of them then come to the clinic for a testosterone replacement therapy. I would not advise you to neglect your health, then to spend time and money on the treatment of your organism!
