One reason people put off getting in shape is they don't know where to begin. perhaps even worse, they think they have an idea, but end up focusing on inefficient or incomplete methods.
I say worse, because people can drag on like this for years, wasting valuable time and effort, seeing little to no results. The only benefit reaped being the satisfaction of their ego, knowing that they "went to the gym." This might be good enough for some, but many will, and should be frustrated by the lack of progress. This kind of mindset has most likely been a culprit in fueling the popularity of the phrase "dad bod". A poor attempt to make it a trend to be hopelessly out of shape. If you are content with a dad bod, stop reading this article, and go drink a six pack. If you want superior and aesthetic fitness, keep reading. I've broken down the foundational training for ultimate fitness into five aspects. A system I call Five Point Fitness.
* Nutrition & Recovery
You should develop proficiency in each. Avoid neglecting any one aspect. Everybody has different goals. So, feel free to shift your focus to each aspect as needed, to suit your agenda. No matter which point takes precedence in your regimen, remember to develop and maintain the others as well. I'll be breaking down the complete system into five installments.
